Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 10 oz mini marshmallows
- 5 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
- 2 cups marshmallow fluff
- Prepare the pan: Line a baking sheet with wax paper and lightly grease it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Melt the butter and marshmallows: In a pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
- Combine with cereal: Remove the pot from heat and immediately stir in the Fruity Pebbles cereal, mixing thoroughly until the cereal is completely coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.
- Form the base layer: Transfer the mixture onto the prepared pan and press it into a thin, even rectangular layer using a spatula or your hands.
- Add marshmallow fluff layer: Spread the marshmallow fluff evenly over the cereal rectangle in a thin, uniform layer.
- Roll the sushi: Cut the cereal sheet in half crosswise. Then, starting from the long side, carefully roll each half into a tight sushi roll.
- Chill and set: Refrigerate the rolled sushi for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up and hold its shape.
- Slice and serve: Once firm, slice the rolls into sushi-sized pieces and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use wax paper and cooking spray to prevent sticking during pressing and rolling.
- Work quickly when mixing marshmallows and cereal as the mixture hardens fast.
- If desired, use a sharp knife sprayed with cooking spray for cleaner sushi roll slices.
- This is a no-bake recipe perfect for kids and parties.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
